And Sew it is Christmas
Picklemice LOVE Christmas! The tree, the festivities, the CHEESE! We find Christmas is the perfect excuse (not that you really need one!) to sneak away to the sewing room and create something extra special.
We asked the team at Mouse House HQ what makes a Picklemouse Christmas and we weren’t too surprised with the answers! After all, it wouldn’t be Christmas without family and traditions!
We all agreed the first essential element of Christmas was the Advent Calendar. The team has lost count of how many advent calendars we have made between us, but with our ever expanding mice families they are truly always in demand. Our Festive Friends Advent Calendar has been a popular favourite this year, with one even being earmarked for our newest grandmouse arriving in 2021!
Then there are of course the handmade Christmas stockings, an absolute must for Christmas Eve! If you are a fan of the Festive Friends Collection then we also have complimentary Koala and Cockatoo stockings available in our online shop that are very much in keeping with the native theme and Australian flavor. If you are after something a little more traditional, we have many more panel varieties in store. The best thing about our stocking panels, is they come with everything you need and straight forward instructions, which means it’s not too late to whip one up before Santa arrives!
Then it wouldn’t be Christmas without a wall hanging (or 10!). These timeless decorations really make the occasion and can be passed down from generation to generation. Our Christmas Row by Row has been popular for a number of years now, with the pattern never going out of style!
It’s a well known fact that nothing makes a mouse hungrier than Christmas sewing! As well as our favourite cheese platters, we’re all keen to try something new this year. Our team came across these fantastic Christmouse Cookies on Apron Strings and we are sure they will be the perfect addition to our Picklemouse traditions!
